Prescriptions

If you have regular medication, a repeat prescription can be issued to you most of the time without you seeing a doctor. Everytime you receive a repeat prescription, you should receive an up to date list of all your medication for you to keep to help you remember what medications you take. This is very useful if you are seeing a doctor at the hospital or you are away on holiday.

There is more than one way to request a repeat prescription:-

  • Phone the practice prescription line on 0116 257 8025, leaving your name, address, date of birth, contact telephone number and the medications you require.

  • Call into the practice, complete a request form and drop it into the request box at the reception desk.

  • Post a list of your requested medication into the practice; you can also enclose a stamped addressed envelope and we will post your prescription back to you.

  • Sign up to online prescriptions. In order to make use of this facility, you must be registered as a patient with our practice. Only then can you register with this service. You can register with this practice/service by contacting us on: 0844 815 1425.

You can also sign up with one of our local chemists who will request and arrange to collect your prescription on your behalf. You need to sign up for this service with your local pharmacy.

Please allow two whole days before collection of your prescription, to allow it to be checked and signed by your doctor.

Please note that prescriptions cannot be collected until after 2pm daily.
